Customer Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities & Objectives

Join PayKoncept as a Customer Support Specialist and play a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences through timely and effective support. As part of our dynamic team, you will:

  • Monitor the incoming call queue, answering calls promptly and professionally.
  • Handle a variety of customer inquiries, including:
  • Login assistance
  • Basic transaction research
  • General inquiries
  • Basic terminal troubleshooting
  • Open, manage, and resolve customer support tickets.
  • Respond to support requests with urgency and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues across both hardware and software platforms.
  • Identify solutions and workarounds for technical problems.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting efforts across multiple third-party vendors to ensure complete end-to-end resolution for customers.
  • Provide feedback to help identify trends, potential improvements, and customer experience enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong communication skills and a passion for helping people.
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Prior experience in customer support or a related field is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills for both team collaboration and customer interaction.
  • Experience in technical or financial support is highly valued.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with standard business software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, etc.).
  • Solution-oriented, with the ability to think strategically and creatively in decision-making.
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
  • Coachable, receptive to feedback, and forward-thinking to challenge the status quo.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Payments Consultant

Remote Position

As a Payment Consultant, you will play a crucial role in delivering on that mission. You’ll be the first point of contact for merchants, acting as an industry expert while guiding them through our comprehensive suite of solutions.

Top-performing Payment Consultants have a deep understanding of the payment processing industry, PayKoncept’s product offerings, the underwriting process, and CRM operations. You’ll help merchants understand their current operations and recommend solutions that meet their needs, all while efficiently navigating our systems.

We are committed to your success by offering continuous training, coaching, and the right tools to help you excel in your role and advance your career.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives:

  • Educate, consult, and guide merchants toward the right PayKoncept payment solutions and plans.
  • Respond promptly to inbound inquiries about PayKoncept.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the payment processing industry.
  • Maintain follow-up tasks and stay on top of active contacts and sales opportunities.
  • Navigate the entire sales process, from discovery to closing.
  • Actively source new opportunities outside of marketing leads with a “hunter” mentality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success and Underwriting teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.
  • Use internal systems like Paykoncept CRM, Google Apps, and CRM  phone effectively.
  • Be a PayKoncept ambassador at local events, such as Chamber events, industry meetups, and associations.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of sales experience selling a technical solution with a 30-45 day sales cycle.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Natural curiosity and the ability to ask the right questions to understand a merchant’s needs.
  • Highly empathetic and able to champion both PayKoncept and the customer.
  • Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with Sales, Underwriting, and Customer Success teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably IRIS CRM).
  • Familiarity with Google Apps (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, etc.).
  • Solution-oriented mindset, with a strategic and creative approach to decision-making.
  • Coachable and open to feedback, while also being proactive in challenging the status quo.
  • Passion for success, a positive attitude, and a love for snacks.
